The Sea Urchins - Pristine Christine
Saturday, December 7, 2013
Every now and then I will remember that this blog exists! Usually on misty or gloomy Saturday mornings when the cat's taken over my pillow and I just want to lie in as I flip through books and listen to pop songs all day. I guess today is one of those days. I just realised that I've never posted anything by The Sea Urchins, so here's Pristine Christine, their first release and my favourite.

パンとスープとネコ日和
Monday, September 16, 2013
Recently my colleague, who has awesome taste in music and dramas, introduced me to a lovely drama called Pan to Soup to Neko Biyori (Bread and Soup and Cat Weather). The drama spans only four episodes and is based on a book, which I immediately went out to get. I was also charmed by the ending theme of the drama, sang by Onuki Taeko, and ended up getting one of her best-of albums. These samples, however, are from the drama soundtrack, which is every bit as charming as the drama and book. (Dropbox; links will be deleted in two weeks)

Mail from Cherry Red Records!
Tuesday, February 26, 2013
So, Cherry Red Records is in my "okay to order" list now. Everything arrived safely, and faster than I thought it would take! Obviously I didn't want to take a big risk when ordering for the first time, but they had Sarah bands Blueboy and Another Sunny Day, and they had an offer where you get 10% off if you buy three cds, so. I'm so happy that I finally have these. (I'm still sad about not receiving the Heavenly stuff I ordered from K Recs T_T) Read more...

The Poppyheads - Cremation Town
Tuesday, February 12, 2013
Because of CNY holidays, I've got a four-day weekend that I thought of spending reshelving my books and finishing a new issue of my zine. I finished the writing part of the zine, and I bought new shelves to clear up the rest of the books stacked on the floor. Today's the last day of my holiday and I just want to read and/or play otome games, while listening to pop songs. The perfect kind of lazy afternoon :)

One of my favourite pop songs. You can download a few songs for free, and purchase their music, from their website.
